The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) characterized these claims as 'preposterous imputations' tied to the political tactics employed by the Trudeau administration.

In a recent statement, the MEA highlighted that since Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made allegations in September 2023, no concrete evidence has been presented by Canada, despite India's repeated requests. The statement condemned the accusations as a strategic maneuver to tarnish India's image for political leverage.

The MEA further criticized Trudeau's approach, noting his past interference in Indian affairs and his alliance with individuals supporting separatist ideologies. It accused the Canadian government of fostering an environment where extremism flourishes, posing threats to Indian diplomats under the guise of free speech.
