In an interview with ARY News, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), expressed bleak prospects for the political future of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan. Zardari asserted that Khan's failure to make strategic political decisions since April 2022 had cost him the premiership.

Zardari criticized Khan for prioritizing the military establishment over political alliances. Commenting on the potential constitutional amendments, he stated, "We do not have a problem with the timeline, and I think they will be passed by October 25," signaling PPP's intent to work with all political factions, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).

Zardari emphasized PPP's commitment to equitable rights for provinces and judicial reforms. He revealed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman supported reforms and constitutional courts. The PPP and JUI-F opposed amendments to Articles 8 and 51, which led to the formation of a political consensus committee, boycotted by PTI.

Addressing the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, Zardari urged acceptance of constitutional courts, warning lawyers against ignoring this mandate. He affirmed that the decision to form a constitutional court was a culmination of a 30-year struggle, stressing that his constitutional amendment agenda is impartial and not targeted at Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

Zardari also highlighted that Article 63(A) was crafted by PPP to eliminate horse-trading, not to bind parliamentarians, showcasing PPP's nuanced understanding of its implications.
