Indians residing in Israel have called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to employ his diplomatic relations with Russia, Iran, and Israel to address the escalating conflicts in West Asia. Reena Vinod Pushkarna, an Indian national based in Israel, expressed a firm belief in Modi's ability to mediate peace, citing his calm and decisive leadership as instrumental.
Pushkarna highlighted the moral support India has extended to Israel, emphasizing that such gestures set a strong precedent for international solidarity. She also underscored the dire situation faced by the local Indian community, suffering economic hardships due to the ongoing conflict and the ripple effects on key industries like tourism.
Compounding these tensions, reports emerged of Hezbollah launching rockets towards the Haifa region, prompting retaliation from the Israeli Defense Forces. According to the Israeli military, these attacks mark a significant escalation in aggression since the conflict's onset last year. In response, Israeli forces have committed to defensive measures to safeguard their civilians. With no clear resolution in sight, the call for Modi's intervention grows more urgent.
