During the 'Diversity in Diplomacy' event, the German Ambassador to India underscored the need for increased representation of women in diplomatic roles. He lauded the vibrant female community within the Indian Foreign Service and emphasized the importance of inclusivity in diplomacy.

Ambassadors from the Netherlands and Indonesia, alongside the Director of the Centre for Social Research, discussed ways to enhance the participation of women and minorities in foreign policy roles. The German envoy stressed that India and Germany have much to learn from each other's experiences in advancing gender equality.

The dialogue occurs as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz prepares for an influential visit to India, coinciding with the Asia Pacific conference of German business. This visit symbolizes strengthened Indo-German cooperation, with discussions on sustainable digital economies and joint business ventures adding to the agenda.
