German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to arrive in India in the latter half of October for critical intergovernmental consultations. The visit, described by German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann as a 'German Mohotsav,' will feature a robust German delegation including seven to eight key ministers.

This significant diplomatic engagement aims to solidify strategic ties, particularly in defense collaboration, with discussions on enhancing defense-industrial cooperation and supply chain resilience. Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has already engaged in preparatory talks with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius.

Expanding on the economic front, Scholz's visit will coincide with the Asia Pacific conference of German businesses. High-ranking German CEOs will explore avenues in the Indian and Asian markets, reinforcing Germany's commitment to building a sustainable digital economy with long-term investments.
