UAE Launches Philanthropic Campaign to Aid Lebanon
Under President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives, the UAE has initiated a campaign supporting Lebanon. Led by Sheikh Theyab, it calls for community participation and involves sending an urgent relief package. The effort includes collaboration with global organizations to provide essential supplies.

The United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has launched a philanthropic initiative in solidarity with Lebanon. Overseen by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the campaign, titled 'The UAE Stands with Lebanon,' is set to run from October 8 to October 21. It invites the involvement of individuals, institutions, and organizations from both the public and private sectors in the UAE.
Sheikh Theyab underscored the commitment of the UAE to assist Lebanon amid challenging humanitarian conditions. He expressed confidence in the resilience of UAE's community and its capacity to stand with those in need, providing essential support during crises.
Coinciding with this initiative, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan approved an urgent relief package worth USD 100 million. The UAE has dispatched six planes carrying approximately 205 tonnes of medical supplies, food, and relief materials to Lebanon. This humanitarian endeavor is in collaboration with international bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
