In a significant diplomatic engagement, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed optimism about India's relationship with Argentina during the seventh India-Argentina Joint Commission Meeting. Speaking in New Delhi, Jaishankar emphasized Argentina's role at the Voice of the Global South Summit and appreciated the robust economic interactions between the two nations.
Jaishankar, addressing the event, welcomed Argentina's delegation, noting their first visit to India and recalling their previous encounter in Munich. He underscored the importance of business engagements, thanking Argentina for bringing a delegation that facilitated substantial discussions with Indian counterparts.
Taking to social media platform X, Jaishankar described the discussions with his Argentinian counterpart, Diana Mondino, as 'fruitful' and highlighted collaborations spanning energy, minerals, health, agri-tech, and defense. The Argentine Foreign Minister's official visit marks a continued effort to deepen these strategic partnerships between the two countries.
