The UAE Food & Beverage Business Group, under the UAE Ministry of Economy's patronage and in partnership with the Dubai Chamber, has announced the Future Food Forum 2024, scheduled for October 2-3. The event aims to bring together key industry stakeholders, government representatives, and academia to explore technologies, sustainable practices, and collaborative strategies in the food sector.

Now in its sixth year, the Forum will focus on accelerating the UAE's food cluster strategy, introduced last year by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. With the GCC food and beverage sector projected to reach a market value of USD 128.2 billion by 2029, the Forum will play a pivotal role in policy change and the UAE food and agricultural transformation roadmap, targeting a USD 10 billion increase to GDP and creation of 20,000 jobs.

This year's forum will cover diverse topics including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), the circular economy, sustainability, international trade agreements like CEPA, and digital transformation. The event will also introduce 'Foodverse,' a metaverse-based virtual platform to revolutionize B2B engagements. Additionally, it will feature 'Free From Food Dubai,' showcasing innovations in organic, vegan, and healthy food industries.
