The four Quad nations, sharing a vision for a free and prosperous Indo-Pacific, are committed to finding solutions to common challenges, said US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti in an interview with ANI. The Quad offers a platform for these countries to collaborate on various fronts and stand up for shared principles.

Hosted by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, the sixth Quad Summit saw participation from key leaders including India's PM Narendra Modi, Japan's PM Fumio Kishida, and Australia's PM Anthony Albanese. The joint declaration highlighted cooperation on disaster assistance and supply chain security, emphasizing that Quad is driven by shared goals rather than military alliances.

Garcetti stressed that the Quad's aim is to secure peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. The collective concern about the situation in the East and South China Seas was evident, with calls for adherence to international law to resolve maritime disputes. The joint statement reiterated the importance of upholding freedom of navigation and supporting international institutions for global peace and sustainable development.
