PM Modi Kicks Off Three-Day U.S. Visit, Participates in Quad Summit and Engages in High-Level Meetings

During his visit, he will also engage in high-level meetings, including discussions with President Joe Biden, and address the Indian diaspora.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday morning, marking the start of his three-day visit to the United States. In his departure statement from India, PM Modi expressed anticipation for the Quad Summit, highlighting the forum's role in ensuring peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
During his visit, Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with President Biden to explore new avenues for enhancing the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. The two nations already enjoy robust defense cooperation, which has been bolstered by a Major Defence Partnership (MDP) and significant trade relations, with bilateral trade hitting USD190.1 billion in 2023.
The Prime Minister's agenda also includes participating in the Quad Summit in Wilmington, Delaware. This sixth summit will focus on regional security and collaboration. Modi will address the Indian diaspora in New York and attend a business roundtable with top U.S. CEOs. He will also take part in the Summit of the Future at the United Nations, aimed at promoting multilateral solutions for a better world.
