The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the 'Emirati Goldsmiths' Platform, marked its presence at the 70th Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair held in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 9-13. The initiative aims to promote youth-led ventures and support emerging Emirati talents in the gold and jewellery design industry, providing them with opportunities to display their work at significant global events.

Heading the delegation was Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of the SCCI's Chairman and overseer of the Emirati Goldsmiths Platform. The team comprised several talented Emirati women designers who presented their latest innovative collections of gold and diamond jewellery. Their creations received widespread acclaim from attendees and industry experts alike, enhancing the recognition of Emirati designers and the UAE's increasing influence in the global jewellery market.

In addition to showcasing their work, the Emirati designers participated in several specialized seminars and craft workshops during the fair. These sessions, led by renowned international experts, offered valuable insights into industry trends and techniques, further honing the skills of the participants. Al Suwaidi underscored the strategic importance of such international exhibitions, affirming that they bolster the UAE's position as a premier hub for jewellery design and manufacturing.

Al Suwaidi highlighted the creativity of the Emirati designers, who drew inspiration from the UAE's rich heritage to produce innovative pieces. Their participation allowed them to engage with contemporary global trends and interact with key industry figures, thereby expanding their capabilities and opening new international market opportunities. She also noted that the Sharjah Chamber's involvement in the Bangkok Fair aligns with its mission to support and promote Emirati talents in the handicraft and jewellery sectors.
