UAE Ambassador Hosts Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebration in Delhi
UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, hosted a gathering in Delhi to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Envoys from Pakistan, Syria, and Uzbekistan attended. The UAE government announced a public holiday on September 15 to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
The UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, organized a gathering in Delhi on Wednesday to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammed. Officials and envoys from countries such as Pakistan, Syria, and Uzbekistan participated in the event.
According to Khaleej Times, the Prophet's birthday is commemorated on the 12th of Rabi Ul Awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar. Referred to as Eid Al Mawlid Al Nabawi or Milad in Arabic, the occasion is marked by observance with minimal festivities.
The UAE government has declared September 15 as a public holiday for public sector employees to honor the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. This announcement was made by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) on September 7.
