Rahul Gandhi Emphasizes Love, Respect, and Humility in Dallas Speech

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi stressed the importance of love, respect, and humility in Indian politics during a speech to the Indian diaspora in Dallas. He outlined his broader role as an Opposition leader and highlighted his vision for Indian politics over the next five years.

Criticizing the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, emphasized the importance of love, respect, and humility in Indian politics. Speaking at an Indian diaspora event in Dallas, Texas, Gandhi shared his broader vision for the political landscape.

Gandhi acknowledged his responsibility to hold the government accountable and oppose any dictatorial tendencies. However, he underscored that his actual role extends beyond parliamentary duties. 'I believe my role is injecting the values of love, respect, and humility in Indian politics,' he told the audience.

During his visit, Gandhi also engaged with students at the University of Texas and scheduled meetings with US lawmakers. His trip is seen as significant, coming months before the US presidential elections and ahead of crucial Assembly elections in India. Highlighting his long-term goals, Gandhi said, 'In five years, I would consider myself successful if I've promoted love, humility, and respect in Indian politics.'
