At the Economic Club of New York, Trump vowed to cut ten old regulations for every new one, and highlighted his vision to embrace emerging industries. He boasted Musk's endorsement and cited the need for a Government Efficiency Commission to eliminate improper and fraudulent payments costing taxpayers billions yearly.

Additionally, Trump promised to make his previous tax cuts permanent, eliminate taxes on social security benefits and tips, and introduced plans to further reduce the corporate tax rate for U.S.-based manufacturers. Musk expressed support for Trump's plans, calling them 'badly needed'.
