New York [US], September 6 (ANI/WAM) — The United Nations Security Council has condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that occurred in Kabul, Afghanistan on September 2, which was claimed by ISIL (Da'esh)-K. The attack resulted in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries.
In an official statement, the Security Council members expressed their deepest sympathies and condolences to the victims' families and extended wishes for a swift recovery to those injured. They reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms represents one of the most severe threats to peace and security, both in Afghanistan and globally.
The Council emphasized the necessity of holding the perpetrators, organizers, financiers, and sponsors of such reprehensible acts accountable.
