On Thursday, Blackstone Singapore's Senior Managing Director and Chairman Gautam Banerjee expressed his admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to Singaporean business leaders. Banerjee highlighted the numerous opportunities presented by Modi's proactive approach and expressed optimism about future investments in India.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi engaged with top business leaders and CEOs from Singapore, emphasizing India's ongoing reforms designed to boost investment and innovation. The meeting included leaders from various sectors like investment funds, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, sustainability, and logistics.

Additionally, PM Modi announced the establishment of an Invest India Office in Singapore. This new office aims to support Singaporean investors in multiple sectors. Modi's interaction included a notable meeting with Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, where both leaders discussed strengthening India-Singapore relations.

Moreover, four significant MOUs were signed, addressing cooperation in the semiconductor ecosystem, digital technologies, skill development and education, and health care. Jaideep Mazumdar, MEA Secretary East, stated that this visit sets the stage for bolstered bilateral relations, aligning with the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.

India and Singapore's relationship has now been elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, reflecting a future-ready collaboration in various pivotal sectors.
