Spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, arrived in Mauritius on Thursday for a four-day visit. He was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Prithvirajsing Roopun, and Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.

During his meeting with the Prime Minister, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar discussed key issues such as the preservation of Mauritian culture and the vision of a drug-free Mauritius. He also met with President Roopun and emphasized youth empowerment, promoting harmony through stress elimination programs, and the introduction of Ayurveda. Notably, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is set to be signed to continue the successful Art of Living's Prison Programs in Mauritius. 'Their worst brings them to prison, but spirituality brings out the best in them,' he remarked, highlighting the program's positive impact.

On the first day of his visit, the spiritual leader addressed a public event that included wisdom, chanting, and meditation, attended by thousands of Mauritians along with key political figures and dignitaries. Among the attendees were Speaker of the National Assembly Adrien Duval, High Commissioner of India Nandini Singla, and various ministers.

Throughout his four-day stay, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is scheduled to address multiple public gatherings filled with wisdom, music, chanting, and celebration at locations such as Pailles, Goodlands, and Wooton. (ANI)
