The United States has signaled a willingness to accept help from any nation in efforts to conclude the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. On Thursday, White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby highlighted India's potential role, stating, "Any nation that can help to end this war in accordance with President Zelenskyy's and the Ukrainian people's prerogatives would certainly be welcome."

Kirby also addressed concerns about Russia's attempts to interfere in the 2024 US presidential election. He mentioned that the Departments of Justice, Treasury, and State had taken coordinated actions against foreign actors associated with the Russian government who are covertly trying to influence US elections.

Federal agencies have identified activities directed and funded by RT, formerly known as Russia Today, which is being used by the Russian government to spread propaganda, influence elections, and shape policies. Kirby noted that RT is no longer just a propaganda arm of the Kremlin but is now advancing covert Russian influence operations. In response, the State Department has announced a new policy to restrict visas for employees of Kremlin-supported media organizations involved in these activities.

Kirby also emphasized that Russian influence and information operations are being laundered through Kremlin-controlled commercial firms, such as social design agencies directed by the Russian Federation. He mentioned that additional law enforcement actions had been announced, including criminal charges against two Russian nationals and sanctions on ten individuals and entities. The Biden administration is determined to counter these efforts to safeguard the resilience of American democracy, Kirby concluded.

The administration's comprehensive approach includes unveiling criminal charges, imposing sanctions, and seizing internet domains. According to US Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, three Russian companies, under Vladimir Putin's direction, used fake profiles to promote false narratives on social media.
