Operation 'Chivalrous Knight 3' has commenced to restore and operate damaged water networks in northern Gaza, Abu Dhabi-based news agency ANI/WAM reports. The initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Gaza Municipality, aligning with the UAE's commitment to providing urgent humanitarian aid and funding.

The UAE aims to repair water lines, networks, and wells in northern Gaza, where 60 wells have been destroyed and major desalination plants are out of commission. The damaged infrastructure has led to widespread water contamination and shortages, severely affecting the local population.

This humanitarian project seeks to deliver clean water to densely populated areas, reduce pollution, and create a healthier environment. The UAE's efforts in Gaza include the establishment of six desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt, and the daily supply of water to displaced families, addressing the essential needs of over 600,000 individuals.
