CAIRO, Egypt – The Arab Republic of Egypt has issued a strong condemnation of Israeli military incursions into the northern West Bank cities of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties, Egypt Today reported.
In a statement released Wednesday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration criticized these Israeli operations as deliberate violations of international law, humanitarian statutes, and the four Geneva Conventions designed to safeguard people under occupation. The ministry also denounced Israel's ongoing escalation and expansion of confrontations within Palestinian territories.
Egypt called for a unified, effective international stance to protect Palestinians and end the targeting of unarmed civilians, the imposition of restrictions, and the seizure of private property. The ministry warned of severe dangers if these Israeli actions continue, highlighting additional assaults on the Gaza Strip and sacred sites in East Jerusalem, which further complicate efforts for de-escalation.
