Cairo [Egypt], August 28 (ANI/WAM): Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has hosted Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, accompanied by a high-level Iraqi delegation, for discussions aimed at stabilizing the region amidst escalating crises.
The Egyptian Presidential Spokesman revealed that the leaders engaged in a detailed exchange of views on mechanisms to counter threats undermining regional stability. Both El-Sisi and Al-Sudani underscored the importance of international pressure to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and address the humanitarian challenges faced by its people. They reiterated the necessity of halting Israeli aggressions in the West Bank and initiating a political process that ensures the establishment of a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Additionally, the leaders highlighted the urgent need for enhanced Arab unity, pointing out the pivotal role of trilateral cooperation among Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan. This collaborative approach, they affirmed, aims to create a successful model for Arab cooperation and regional integration.
