Muhammad Yunus Pledges Equal Rights for All in Bangladesh

Dhaka Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has emphasized the need to build a Bangladesh where everyone can practice their faith without fear, according to the Dhaka Tribune. Speaking to Hindu leaders on Janmashtami, Yunus stressed the government's duty to ensure the rights of all citizens.
"Our responsibility is to establish the rights of every citizen. Our job is to ensure justice for every citizen. There can't be any divisions among people in our country. We are equal citizens. The interim government is determined to protect the rights of every citizen of the country," Yunus said at the Jamuna State Guest House. Hindu leaders expressed their hopes for peace and prosperity while highlighting issues like property grabbing.
The Hindu leaders praised Yunus for his visit to the Dhakeswari Mandir and his reaffirmation of a harmonious society. Figures like Kajal Debnath and Monindra Kumar Nath of the Hindu Buddha Christian Oikya Parishad were among those present. Recent discussions between PM Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden underscored the urgency of restoring normalcy and ensuring minority safety in Bangladesh.
