Cairo [Egypt], August 26 (ANI/WAM): Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, reiterated Al-Azhar's commitment to boosting cooperation with religious institutions in the UAE. He praised the UAE's extensive humanitarian efforts worldwide during a meeting with a delegation from the UAE General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, led by Omar Habtoor Al Darei.
In the discussion, Al-Tayeb underscored the pivotal role of muftis and religious scholars in addressing women's issues. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring that cultural practices do not overshadow accurate religious texts and rulings.
