Rajnath Singh Emphasizes India's Commitment to Honesty and Global Unity During Washington Address

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reaffirmed India's commitment to integrity and global unity during a speech to the Indian diaspora in Washington. Singh stressed that India has never backstabbed others and has consistently promoted the philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family).

Singh advised Indian expatriates to maintain a dual dedication to both India and the United States, emphasizing that deception is not in India's character. 'We can be cheated, but we can never cheat others. This should be the message to the world,' he said.

He highlighted the unique bond between India and the US, referring to them as 'natural allies' destined for a strong partnership. He cited historical ties and current collaborations as evidence of this growing relationship. Singh also touched upon India's recent global ascension, noting that India's voice is now heard at major international forums.

During his visit, Singh plans to engage in crucial bilateral talks with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. This trip, amidst increasing India-US defense collaborations, aims to enhance the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
