Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Warsaw, extended his appreciation to Polish Indologists for their deep interest in Indian subjects. He emphasized that their scholarly contributions have significantly enhanced cultural ties and mutual understanding between India and Poland.

In a meeting with prominent Polish Indologists, PM Modi highlighted the long history of Indology in Poland, dating back to the 19th century. Among the distinguished attendees were Prof Maria Christopher Byrski, a Sanskrit scholar and former Polish Ambassador to India, and Prof Monika Browarczyk, an acclaimed Hindi scholar who recently received the Vishwa Hindi Samman.

PM Modi expressed gratitude for the efforts made by these scholars in promoting Indian culture, traditions, and philosophy globally. The meeting underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy and acknowledged the rising popularity of Yoga across Poland and Europe. Official photos shared by the Ministry of External Affairs further celebrated this fruitful exchange of views.
