Dubai [UAE], August 21 (ANI/WAM): Authorities from Ras Al Khaimah Police and the Department of Economic Development (DED) conducted a significant raid, seizing 650,468 counterfeit items valued at AED 23 million. The counterfeit goods bore international brand trademarks and included items such as cosmetics and accessories.

The operation led to the arrest of three individuals of Arab nationality who have been referred to public prosecution. Brigadier Ahmed Said Mansoor, Acting Director-General of Police Operations, praised the joint team's efforts to curb the circulation of fake goods in the market.

Colonel Omar Al Oud Al Tineji, Director of the Criminal Investigations and Investigative Affairs Department, indicated that the warehouses used to store these counterfeit items were identified following a tip-off from the DED. The joint task force monitored the warehouses for several days and subsequently obtained warrants to raid them, resulting in the seizure of the goods.
