Dubai [UAE], August 21 (ANI/WAM): The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has called upon all government and private sector employers to visit its website and enroll in awareness workshops aimed at clarifying the UAE's federal pension laws No. 7 of 1999 and No. 57 of 2023. These workshops are designed to enhance understanding of the insurance and social security benefits provided by the GPSSA, ensuring long-term benefits for insured individuals, pensioners, and their families.

Since August 2024, GPSSA has conducted 37 workshops that reached 1,118 insured individuals, covering various aspects of pension law and its provisions. The workshops come in two categories: one that focuses on the legal framework and another that targets electronic services associated with the laws. These sessions can be hosted at employers' premises, offering insured employees vital insights into insurance topics such as insurance percentages, contribution requirements, and pension rules.

The workshops also delve into the process of paying contributions, including deadlines, clarifying leave and secondment periods, retirement pension eligibility, and end-of-service benefits. Participants will learn about adding and purchasing service periods and merging pensions and salaries. A Q&A session with GPSSA experts is also included. Employers can request these workshops via the GPSSA website, where they can also access service guides, view service cards, and watch instructional videos. Following a request submission, the customer will be notified via email and SMS, and a GPSSA specialist will coordinate the workshop delivery, free of charge.
