The UAE Ministry of Education has confirmed its comprehensive preparedness for the 2024-2025 academic year, announcing that public schools will open on August 26, 2024. This statement follows extensive planning by the Ministry to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

During a briefing, Minister of Education Sarah Al Amiri highlighted proactive plans put in place before the last academic year ended. These plans include updates to student assessment policies across all educational levels, designed to enhance educational outcomes in line with UAE leadership's goals. Student assessments now include revised percentages for each academic term and a focus on continuous assessment.

The Ministry launched the 'From Student to Leader' campaign to foster community involvement in student development. Further initiatives include the opening of 25 schools, comprehensive maintenance of 311 schools, and allocation of 34,000 laptops for students. Maintenance of school buses and optimization of transportation routes have also been undertaken to ensure student safety and comfort.
