Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make a landmark visit to Ukraine on August 23, at the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
This visit holds historical significance as it will be the first time an Indian PM has visited the war-affected nation since diplomatic ties were established around 30 years ago.
India reiterated its stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for a lasting resolution. MEA emphasized that India maintains 'substantive and independent ties' with both Russia and Ukraine.
