Indian Navy's frontline stealth frigate, INS Tabar, has arrived at Esbjerg, Denmark, for a pivotal two-day visit. The naval ship is under the command of Captain MR Harish.

The visit aims to fortify the already-strong ties between the two nations and their respective navies. During the stay in Esbjerg harbor, the crew of INS Tabar will engage in several bilateral professional interactions with the Danish Armed Forces, including cultural exchanges, as stated by the Ministry of Defence in an official release. The Indian Navy continues to emphasize the importance of international partnerships.

The diplomatic relations between India and Denmark are deeply rooted in historical ties, shared democratic values, and a mutual commitment to both regional and international peace and stability. These relations were elevated to a 'Green Strategic Partnership' during a Virtual Summit on September 28, 2020, between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, according to the Ministry of Defence release.

INS Tabar is equipped with a versatile array of weapons and sensors and is one of the early stealth frigates of the Indian Navy. The ship is a vital part of the Indian Navy's Western Fleet, which is headquartered in Mumbai under the Western Naval Command.
