The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts further significant rainfall and thunderstorms in Sindh on Monday. On Sunday morning, CM Murad chaired a high-level emergency meeting at CM House, expressing deep concern over flooded highways and waterlogged streets in Sukkur, Dadu, Jacobabad, and Naushahro Feroze.
Murad emphasized the need for immediate action to protect lives and property, instructing rigorous dewatering operations and active involvement of government machinery including district administrations and local bodies. The irrigation department was directed to patrol canal embankments to prevent breaches.
