US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Tel Aviv on Sunday, aiming to secure a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, as reported by The Times of Israel. This marks Blinken's ninth trip to Tel Aviv since the conflict began in October.

During his visit, Blinken will meet with Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, amid White House claims that a deal is imminent. Middle-tier Israeli negotiators have been engaged in talks in Cairo and Qatar, raising hopes among mediating nations.

Netanyahu, however, remains steadfast in his demands, advocating for more pressure on Hamas. At a recent cabinet meeting, he asserted that negotiations should involve compromises only where feasible for Israel's security. The deal's framework includes a temporary halt in Israel's operations in exchange for the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners.
