Shafi Burfat, the exiled leader of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, has made an emphatic appeal for the immediate return of Sheikh Hasina to Bangladesh. He asserts that her presence could drastically change the nation's political landscape and thwart ongoing conspiracies. Burfat, a staunch advocate for Sindhi rights in Pakistan, highlighted recent incidents of vandalism and violence targeting the Bengali Hindu community, suggesting these are part of a broader strategy to destabilize Bangladesh.

According to Burfat, these occurrences are eroding Bangladesh's independence and legitimacy. He warned against efforts to push Bangladesh towards fundamentalism, singling out Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) as a key instigator in this conspiracy. He stated that Sheikh Hasina's return would reinvigorate her supporters and provide a psychological and moral boost to secular activists and the Awami League cadre.

Burfat argued that tackling the deteriorating situation should be the current government's responsibility. However, he believes Sheikh Hasina's presence could politically transform the scenario, complicating interference by international and regional powers. He stressed that the attacks on the Bengali Hindu community indicate a global plot threatening Bangladesh's stability. Burfat called for international recognition of the seriousness of the issue and support for Sheikh Hasina's return.

As the founder of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, Burfat's advocacy for Sindhi rights and a separate Sindhudesh is well-known. His appeal underscores shared regional struggles, emphasizing the vital role of Sheikh Hasina's leadership in safeguarding Bangladesh's sovereignty and stability.

Concluding, Burfat reaffirmed the integral status of Hindus in Bangladesh, framing the attacks not merely as minority issues but as part of a broader conspiracy. Many now view Sheikh Hasina's return as essential for protecting democratic institutions and countering external and internal pressures.
