Abu Dhabi [UAE], July 26 (ANI/WAM): Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture, has concluded an extensive tour across the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Hungary, and the Republic of Croatia, aimed at enhancing cultural cooperation and mutual understanding. Significant meetings and cultural engagements marked the visit, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to cultural diplomacy.

Commenting on the tour, Sheikh Salem Al Qassimi said, 'These meetings and cultural engagements represent significant strides in our cultural diplomacy efforts. The UAE Ministry of Culture is committed to boosting partnerships and promoting global cultural dialogue.' During his visit, he underscored the shared commitment to using culture as a vehicle for diversity, peace, and socioeconomic development of the countries involved.

In Slovakia, Al Qassimi met with Martina Simkovicova, Minister of Culture, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cultural exchanges. He also visited Robert Kalinak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Slovakia, and toured the University Library of Bratislava to explore the historic Basagic's Collection of Islamic Manuscripts. In Hungary, he engaged with Balazs Hanko, Minister of Culture and Innovation, and lauded Hungary's upcoming presidency of the EU Council. The tour concluded in Croatia with a meeting with Nina Obuljen Korzinek, Minister of Culture and Media, focusing on cultural diplomacy and heritage preservation efforts.
