The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the UK announced on Tuesday its plans to hold the largest gathering of the Muslim community from July 26-28 this year in Alton, Hampshire. Titled 'Jalsa Salana 2024', the convention emphasizes prayers for global peace and urges the international Muslim community to help reduce global instability.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide Head and Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, will lead the event. He stressed the importance for Muslims to turn to their Creator amid current global tensions. "As Muslims, we pray five times a day and in each prayer, it is incumbent upon us to recite the first chapter of the Holy Qur'an. Allah the Almighty proclaims that He is the Lord of all the Worlds and of all people," he stated.

"True Muslims, therefore, live their lives peacefully and seek to propagate peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding in society," added Ahmad. The convention will gather over 35,000 participants from the community, aimed at spiritual renewal and promoting global peace. A symbolic ceremony of unity will see participants linking hands.

UK President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Rafiq Hayat, highlighted the role of faith in overcoming adversity, emphasizing their motto 'Love for All, Hatred for None.' The convention will feature delegates from various civic, religious, and political spheres and will be broadcast worldwide, aiming to foster dialogue and combat ignorance and hatred.
