The United Arab Emirates has sent 100 humanitarian and relief aid convoys to the Gaza Strip since commencing 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3', aimed at mitigating the hardships faced by Palestinians due to the ongoing conflict. The first shipment entered Gaza on 24th November 2023.
The relief convoys have delivered over 20,000 tonnes of essential items, including medical equipment, food parcels, shelter tents, water systems, and much more, transported by around 1,000 trucks through the Rafah Border Crossing.
In response to the recent invasion of Rafah, the UAE sent four additional convoys carrying 320 tonnes of shelter and food supplies. The health sector has also been bolstered with 16 tonnes of urgent medical aid. This initiative continues Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's legacy of humanitarian assistance.
