Brussels [Belgium], July 19 (ANI/WAM): Ahead of the second round of Political Consultations between the UAE and Belgium on July 16, Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, met with Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib. The discussion highlighted the robust ties and the commitment to furthering their relationship. Topics included the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and avenues for bilateral cooperation.
The session was co-chaired by Nusseibeh and Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The discussions covered burgeoning bilateral relations and explored opportunities to fortify economic and trade collaborations. Emphasis was placed on a cooperative stance to tackle shared concerns and further mutual interests.
Both parties reviewed recent regional developments and deliberated on enhancing ties across various sectors, including economic and trade relations and collaborations in multiple multilateral forums. Nusseibeh commended the current state of UAE-Belgium relations and stressed the importance of nurturing stronger connections in all areas.
