Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where shots rang out on stage. JD Vance claimed the attack was incited by the Biden campaign's rhetoric labeling Trump an authoritarian fascist.

As Trump was rushed off the stage by Secret Service agents, one spectator was killed and another critically injured. Trump, with blood visible on his face, raised his fist to the crowd before being escorted away.

The shooter, now deceased, was neutralized by the Secret Service. Representative Mike Collins and Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy condemned the attack, calling for unity and attributing Trump's survival to divine intervention. Trump's first statement post-incident expressed gratitude to law enforcement and condolences to the victims' families.
