The Department of Community Development (DCD) in Abu Dhabi convened a strategic meeting with key stakeholders to assess the progress of the Emirati Family Growth Programme. The session highlighted cooperative measures aimed at bolstering family development and stability in the region.

Chaired by Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, the DCD reviewed the programme under the framework of the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy. Al Khaili noted the programme's alignment with Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision, focusing on elevating citizens' living standards and reinforcing family unity. Prominent figures including Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Abdulla Al Ameri, Sana Mohamed Suhail, and Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi attended, underscoring the importance of partnership-driven enhancement of family services.

Al Khaili commended the programme for augmenting governmental initiatives dedicated to human welfare and supporting Emirati families in their paths to growth and stability. This programme complements the 'Medeem' initiative, assisting nationals in starting their married lives optimistically. Al Dhaheri stressed the necessity for continuous coordination between involved entities to ensure effective service delivery.

The meeting confirmed the readiness to implement these initiatives, detailing the application process set to launch in September. Discussions covered the operational frameworks to ensure effective execution in line with government directives. The alignment between the Emirati Family Growth initiatives and the Medeem programmes was also reviewed, focusing on equipping young people for marriage, thus fostering cohesive families and sustainable development in Abu Dhabi.

Details regarding each initiative, including eligibility and applications, will be disclosed soon. The DCD, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Social Support Authority, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, oversees this five-year programme which includes Facilitated Marriage Loans, Maternity Leave Support, Home Visit Services, Rental Assistance, and extended Housing Loan Repayment Periods, all designed to enrich family life in Abu Dhabi.
