Dubai Police Concludes Successful Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Event at Dubai Mall

Dubai Police wrapped up a three-day awareness event at Dubai Mall, under the slogan 'My Family... My True Wealth,' to educate the community on the dangers of drug abuse. Activities involved various strategic partners and emphasized preventive, educational, and rehabilitation efforts.

Dubai Police has successfully concluded a three-day anti-drug abuse awareness event at Dubai Mall under the slogan 'My Family... My True Wealth'. Organized by the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, the event aimed to educate the community about the hazards of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

The event featured educational activities in collaboration with strategic partners, including the Community Development Authority, Dubai Customs, Erada Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation, Health Authority, Al Ameen Service, Emirates Health Services, and the National Rehabilitation Centre. Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs, attended the closing ceremony and emphasized Dubai Police's commitment to combating drug abuse through community outreach and prevention efforts.

Major General Eid Mohammed Thani Harib, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics at Dubai Police, highlighted the importance of family in preventing drug abuse. The event showcased preventive measures, awareness programs, treatment plans, and community support initiatives. Various organizations contributed by providing workshops, awareness sessions, and specialised treatment programs to educate the public on the dangers of drug usage and methods of prevention.

The Health Authority organized workshops for parents, while the Al Ameen Service outlined its role and communication channels. Emirates Health Services elaborated on addressing the psychological aspect in addiction treatment. The Positive Spirit Council and the Council of People of Determination also participated, offering recreational and educational activities. Major General Al Mansoori honored strategic partners for their efforts in making the event a success.
