The collaboration aims to launch financial products for seniors, addressing the lack of awareness and coverage for India's ageing population, which is set to double by 2050.
Antara Senior Care and Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance have united efforts to improve awareness and access to senior care services and financial literacy in India. This collaboration aims to develop specialized financial products for seniors, addressing a significant gap in awareness and coverage among the ageing population.
The Longitudinal Ageing Study of India (LASI) 2021 revealed that only 28% of seniors are aware of available benefits, with 18% having health insurance and 78% living without pension cover. This partnership is a strategic step forward to educate seniors and their families on holistic wellness.
India is witnessing a demographic shift, with the senior population expected to more than double by 2050. The partnership seeks to bridge gaps in care and financial planning, as Antara leverages its expertise in senior care to offer tailored solutions through various engaging platforms and newly curated financial products.
