On Thursday, the Union Health Ministry unveiled the National Guidelines on Medical Oxygen Management, underscoring the essential maintenance and utilization of medical oxygen infrastructure.
Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava addressed a workshop at Delhi AIIMS, launching the National Capacity Building Programme on Oxygen Management. This initiative seeks to train 200 'master trainers' to aid hospital administrators and medical officers nationwide in optimized handling and use of medical oxygen, minimizing waste and enhancing clinical outcomes.
Highlighting the lessons from managing COVID-19, the guidelines aim to strengthen the nation's medical oxygen infrastructure. Dr. M Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, emphasized the importance of training across all healthcare levels, marking a crucial step towards standardized practices in medical oxygen management.
