Delhi's Rs 6,874 Crore Boost: A New Era of Healthcare Modernisation

The Delhi government has unveiled a robust Rs 6,874 crore budget to revolutionize its healthcare sector. The Delhi government's 2025-26 Budget, unveiled by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, allocates an ambitious Rs 6,874 crore to the health sector. This significant investment aims to bolster healthcare infrastructure by expanding wellness centers and enhancing critical care services.

In her Budget presentation, Gupta emphasized the administration's focus on modernizing healthcare, improving primary care access, and streamlining medical records. The budget, which totals Rs 1 lakh crore with a 31.5 per cent increase from the previous year, underscores the commitment to providing quality healthcare for all residents.

Highlights include Rs 320 crore for 400 health and wellness centers and an additional Rs 10 crore for the Ayushman Digital Mission, aimed at better patient management. Plans to fast-track the construction of new hospitals signify a robust, modern healthcare system under the BJP-led government, replacing the previous AAP administration.
