A 23-year-old man, identified as Adil, allegedly ended his life using an illegal firearm in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur. According to police reports, the tragic incident happened when Adil was left alone at home while his family attended evening prayers.

Family members later revealed that the young man had been battling severe depression and substance addiction, factors that may have driven him to commit suicide. Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra confirmed that they are looking into how Adil obtained the illegal weapon.

Local authorities have initiated a thorough investigation, including questioning the family to unearth the root causes of his mental distress. Meanwhile, Adil's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination as inquiries continue.
