A leak of ammonia gas at a cold storage facility near Datawali village on Etawah-Basrehar road sparked fear on Monday morning. A worker collapsed due to exposure, but received prompt first aid and was successfully revived, according to officials.
Chief Fire Officer Subhash Kumar reported that the leak was reported at around 9.30 am, leading to the immediate dispatch of two fire service units. Firefighters managed to neutralize the ammonia with water sprays and sealed the leak by shutting off valves on the compromised pipeline.
