Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd announced the expansion of its Home Health Care initiatives to 100 locations nationwide, enhancing its scope to cover 85 percent of its customer base. Launched in July 2023, the service provides cashless doorstep medical care, according to Wednesday's statement from the company.
Anand Roy, the MD and CEO of Star Health, emphasized the company's commitment to making healthcare accessible and affordable, reducing logistical and financial barriers for customers. He highlighted the program's focus on comfort and peace of mind by bringing quality medical care directly to their homes, particularly in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune, which have been proactive in adopting these services.
The initiative has already benefited over 15,000 patients, primarily addressing common conditions such as viral fever and dengue. Partnerships with leading healthcare providers like Care24, Portea, Athulya, and Apollo have been crucial in facilitating this expansion, underscoring the company's mission to transform health insurance delivery.
