Actor R Madhavan expressed his gratitude on Monday upon being nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a campaign aimed at battling obesity. The initiative targets raising health awareness across the nation.
Prime Minister Modi announced the nomination of ten influential individuals from various sectors, including Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, business mogul Anand Mahindra, actors Mohanlal and Madhavan, and singer Shreya Ghoshal. The goal is to galvanize efforts to fight obesity by leveraging the influence of these public figures.
In a show of appreciation, Madhavan stated, "I thank the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for launching this essential and impactful awareness program to inspire our nation toward better health." He also nominated Olympian Neeraj Chopra, actors Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, and Rohit Roy to propagate the message further.
