Speaking at the launch event, Dr Girdhar Gyani, Director General of AHPI, underscored the necessity of stringent safety protocols for protecting patients and healthcare staff. The guidelines are intended to form a new benchmark for clinical practices in India, offering essential resources for managing emergencies effectively.
The manual, introduced by Col (retd) Dr Sunil Rao and supported by medical expertise from Dr Sanjeev Singh, outlines Standard Operating Procedures for stroke management. The initiative strives to educate healthcare providers and the public, highlighting the critical nature of timely treatment during the 'golden hour' following a stroke.
