SumeetSSG, a leading medical emergency service provider, announced a substantial investment of Rs 1,600 crore in Maharashtra for a new healthcare emergency service initiative. The project, titled the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) 108 Ambulance Project, promises to revolutionize the state's emergency response capabilities with advanced ambulance fleets.

The ambitious 10-year project, valued at Rs 14,000 crore, aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure significantly. It will be rolled out in five phases, introducing 1,756 ambulances equipped with modern technology like GPS, CCTV, and mobile data terminals. The initiative is part of the State National Health Mission to improve emergency response times and patient outcomes.

During a recent visit by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejon, SumeetSSG showcased its fleet. This public-private partnership, based on the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer model, expects to bring transformative changes to India's emergency medical services sector.
