In a milestone achievement, the Una district administration announced on Friday that 69 gram panchayats have been declared free from tuberculosis under the NTEP Programme 2023.

To mark this achievement, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal encouraged Panchayat representatives to maintain their efforts in the fight against tuberculosis. This was part of the declarations made during a ceremony where representatives received bronze medals for their TB-Free status.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Verma highlighted that continued TB-free status in 2024 and 2025 could lead to silver and gold recognitions, respectively. Meanwhile, Bilaspur district saw 29 out of 151 panchayats achieve the TB-free status recently.
